Accountants are responsible for performing financial calculations in a wide variety of fields. Duties include creating sales and cash flow reports, administering payroll, keeping balance sheets, carrying out billing activities, managing budgets and keeping inventory. Accountants may also be responsible for filing taxes, as well as reviewing past reports to generate income forecasts.



  • Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.

  • Maintain general ledger as needed. Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports.

  • Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management.

  • Develop and document a keen understanding of various complex business transactions and of the corresponding accounting implications by reviewing contracts/agreements and interviewing internal & external stakeholders.

  • Discuss recommendations with accounting management, especially relevant to changes which will improve the accuracy and efficiency of existing processes.
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, sufficient supporting documentation, and compliance with GAAP.
  • Perform SOX controls and maintain process flow documentation to aid in SOX compliance.
  • Respond to monthly, quarterly, and annual audit requests from internal and external auditors.
  • Review and appropriately respond to field requests.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Education: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree CPA designation or CPA candidate.
  • Experience: 3+, GAAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in both legacy mainframe and PC applications.
  • Microsoft Office programs (particularly Word and Excel) are heavily used.
  • Strong organizational skills
