To provide accounting guidance and support using the 7-Eleven servant leadership model to drive results and develop the e-Commerce and Delivery Digital Products. Serves as accounting resource on cross functional teams, ensures US GAAP/proper accounting treatment is applied, controls are set-up/maintained, efficient processes are created, documented and implemented, and successful execution of initiatives within e-Commerce and Delivery Digital products.


  • Understand various complex business transactions and the corresponding accounting implications by reviewing current processes and future goals, communicating with internal stakeholders, and consulting the relevant accounting guidance and departments
  • Lead cross functional accounting meetings to ensure completeness and understanding of job responsibilities and tasks
  • Work within project scopes and objectives, to ensure technical feasibility, involving all relevant accounting stakeholders
  • Evaluate, recommend, and assist in implementation of proper accounting treatment, processes, and accounting testing, execution of various initiatives, including process and systems related items. Will include assessing process volume and employee workload metrics to identify and address business risks. This involves:
    • executing / participating in the process to gain a robust understanding of operations;
    • identifying technology and tools needed to improve process effectiveness;
    • documenting business requirements and providing project management guidance for systems / tool implementation projects, as well as requirements definition/redefinition, mapping, and other activities related to eCommerce and Delivery
  • Create and document processes and recommend improvement for efficiency and effectiveness, maintaining controls, within the constraints of the related systems
  • Work closely with peers on the accounting teams affected to understand needs and possibilities for recommendations and execution
  • Assist in the development of internal and store training programs
  • Strong leadership skills and cross-functional relationship-building abilities at all levels to be able to work closely with, guide, teach, and influence non-direct senior reportsThis position interfaces with all accounting areas affected by eCommerce and Delivery including multiple departments, end users, distributors and vendors, and provides critical support to the associated Project Leader and Steering Committee, facilitating working sessions and driving execution of strategic corporate initiatives




  • Education: Bachelors/4 Year Degree
  • Experience: 7
  • Sound business judgment.
  • Handle challenges in a timely manner and ensure digital product outcomes meet stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Develop and manage communications strategies and plans.
  • Initiate process creation, documentation, and implementation.
  • Advocate change by identifying process improvement opportunities and sponsoring change initiatives.
  • Identify and promote best practices as a means for developing organizational capability.
  • Support team building. Build mutual trust and facilitate collaboration among team members, bridging functional silos.
  • An understanding of merchandising and franchise organizations is a plus.
  • Additionally, position requires the ability to: proficiently use Excel, Visio and PowerPoint; effectively communicate verbally and in writing; analyze and understand reports.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand and appropriately respond to a variety of business process roadblocks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to prepare process documentation, summarize recommendations for review by various levels of management

  • Position requires regular contact with senior level management including Product Directors, Sr. Managers and Managers in the Digital, Legal, Merchandising as well as working across accounting departments.
  • Position is involved with individuals and departments for exchange of information and is essential to the successful execution of the digital products of eCommerce and Delivery.
