  • Overview



    Position supports the sourcing of suppliers and assisting in the negotiation of contracts in the area of Information Systems and related IS services. Specific categories include IS Hardware, IS Professional Services, Software, Maintenance and Outsourced Relationships.




    • Manage suppliers to determine specifications and requirements for Information System Goods and Services.
    • Source suppliers and negotiate contracts for IS Software, Hardware and related services.
    • Develop purchase orders requests to support materials and services procurement, tracking orders upon purchase orders confirmation and providing general Procurement support to IS Leadership / or IS Project Managers.
    • Interview potential suppliers and determine if supplier is qualified to produce and/or supply products or services.
    • Review of supplier's capability, ability to meet deadlines, and financial background.
    • Work with supplier during testing of the product or service.
    • Coordinates and communicates company recommendations and revisions for the product or service.


    • Education: Bachelors/4 Year Degree CPM- Certified Purchasing Manager certification a plus.
    • Experience: 3-5 years, Information Systems supplier knowledge required.  
    • Retail IS or Procurement experience a plus.  
    • Proven negotiation experience and skills required. 
    • A clear understanding of IS procurement procedures (i.e. Software, Hardware, Services, purchase order transactions, contracting, developing buying rules, etc.).
    • Experience in an ERP driven sourcing environment is required.
    • Oracle Purchasing and / or Ariba Sourcing a plus.  
    • Strong organizational skills, understanding of legal aspects, negotiating skills, purchasing terminology, cost analysis, and government regulations (EPA, UL, NSF, etc.).
