    We are looking for a Sr Pricing & Promotion Analyst with advanced analytical capabilities to manage, execute, and enhance Strategic Pricing and Promotional Effectiveness.  The Sr Analyst will be proficient in developing insights using advanced reporting and statistical analytics, with the ability to proactively identify issues, trends, root cause and recommend actionable solutions with a focus on Company goals and strategies.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Manage Strategic Pricing and Promotional Effectiveness
    • Create Pricing Scenarios supporting existing Category Strategies/Goals
    • Review Pricing Scenarios with Merchants offering strong Points of View and Recommendations Market by Market and Item by Item
    • Execute Pricing and Verify Results against Goals
    • Advanced Analytics are required to translate data from various sources into meaningful summaries, insights, presentations and strategic recommendations
    • Develop best practices for analytical processes to support/continuously improve merchandising decisions
    • Evolve our promotional effectiveness analytical capabilities and sophistication
    • Great at working independently under time critical deadlines and thrive in a dynamic environment.
    • Manage, analyze, and recommend price changes for a group of categories
    • Evaluate effectiveness of pricing methods and rules, identify opportunities, and make recommendations for competitive pricing premiums
    • In partnership with pricing and merchandising leadership understand business issues, develop data and translate into appropriate lifecycle pricing strategies
    • Improve accuracy of forecast and financial impact of proposed price changes
    • Develop ad-hoc pricing analyses and recommendations as needed
    • Create relevant category analytical tools/reports/dashboards that encompass pricing data in connection with consumer, customer, and competitor insights

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Education:  Bachelors/4 year Degree
    • Experience: 5-7 years in Strategic Pricing with Advanced Analytics Capabilities
    • Strong analytical and advanced skills to effectively create and interpret reports and pricing models.
    • A passion for analytics and data, with the ability to communicate/translate complicated data analysis insights into actions 
    • Demonstrated experience in data modeling, analysis, reporting, research and presentation creation across software platforms.
    • Manage multiple projects and prioritize based on needs/importance
    • Proficient in a wide range of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments
