  • Overview

    Responsible for the Horizon POS Lab management including, but not limited to, the Test and Development environments of each POS platform, asset management, software versions, integration testing, network architecture, and any other tasks related to supporting the Horizon stakeholders and business needs.



    • Works with Operations, Asset Protection, Accounting, Fuel, Training, Marketing, and Back Office support teams that are responsible for various aspects and performance of the Horizon stores to maintain current and new features, software versions, and maintaining the lab in a way that the Horizon stakeholders and support teams can visit as needed for testing and training purposes.
    • Works with the POS, Fuels/Payments, and QSR Specialists to ensure that they have the equipment and tools required to adequately support their respective systems.
    • Works with the respective vendors to support the Specialists as needed coordinate new product delivery for hardware and software into the lab as needed.
    • Maintains expenses and procurement processes to keep the lab functional and up to date as fiscally efficient as possible.
    • Responsible for project management of requests from the business and keeps the team of Specialists on track and optimize the teams productivity while recognizing their work load at any given time.
    • Additional responsibilities may be introduced as the platform(s) evolve.




    • Bachelors/4 Yr Degree



    • 3-5 years of experience
    • General Point of Sale (POS) technology including integration to fuel, electronic payments, and loyalty programs.
    • Familiar with PCI, NAXML, and SQL standards/processes.
    • General network and TCP/IP standards.
    • Project management: 1-2 yearsTechnical writing, .net, Windows OS, and Linux OS experience is preferred.
    • Experience with VeriFone (Commander), Radiant, Passport, and Fis-Cal Point of Sale systems specifically is preferred.
    • Fuel, electronic payments, and loyalty experience with regard to POS integration.
