  • Overview


    This dynamic role is responsible for managing or assisting with the review of the US federal and state tax returns; managing/leading all aspects of the Company's state income tax activities including compliance, provision, financial reporting, & tax audit management; and overseeing the Company's tax fixed asset management and reporting.


    • Assists with review of consolidated U.S. federal return, federal proforma returns and work papers. Plans, manages, and reviews all multi-state income and franchise tax returns to ensure proper determination of liability and efficient, timely reporting. Includes oversight of estimated payment process to ensure compliance and proper cash flow planning as well as oversight of outsource partners.
    • Facilitate all phases and activities of state and local income tax audits. Includes analyzing and responding to information requests, supporting Company tax positions, and management of audit timelines.
    • Perform or review technical tax research to ensure compliance with state/local laws and minimize the Company's tax posture. Includes preparing/reviewing tax research memorandums to document positions and support Company and department strategic initiatives. Assist with M&A activity including due diligence and transaction structure research
    • Includes analyzing and responding to information requests, supporting Company tax positions, and management of audit timelines.Review of schedules and other support necessary to calculate and report the quarterly/annual state income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740. Includes review of FIN 48, analysis of tax general ledger accounts, as well as SOX and other audit schedules utilized by financial reporting and external auditors.
    • Assists with special projects as requested by management including but not limited to M&A due diligence and support, special transactions, technical issues documentation, process management, etc..
    • Responsible for managing tax fixed asset monthly and annual processing, fixed asset tax compliance, fixed asset tax forecasting and ensuring appropriate tax reporting of tax fixed assets.




    • Bachelors/4 Yr Degree Required
    • Masters Degree and CPA Preferred


    • 5-7 years
    • US federal tax, State & Local Income Tax Compliance, ASC 740, Research & Planning, Fixed Assets.
    • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
    • Ability to lead/develop team members.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (internal and taxing authority).
    • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Oracle, etc).
    • CorpTax.
